To
what extent transparency is viable within anonymous conventions is
being explored next month in New York when Dixon Place Presents:
Scorpios Anonymous.
Scorpios Anonymous is a community of strangers, storytellers, and
troubled souls from all walks of life who come together to share their
experiences, support each other, and give strength and hope to each of
the members during their trials and tribulations that naturally result
from Being Scorpio.
At Dixon Place, non-Scorpio are invited to pay
witness to the normally clandestine happenings as SA members exchange
confidentiality for audience. This conundrum is intended to demonstrate
the enigma which Scorpios are known to reference when describing their own sign.
Can a safe-house have open-house, can voyeurism permeate a circle of
trust, can members of SA's NYC Chapter share their tools to reconcile inner
authority and allow for a path to sustainable
happiness?
Group starts on each of the four nights at 7:30pm, and Scorpios in the audience are encouraged to participate.
Thursday, November 1st Thursday, November 8th Monday, November 12th Tuesday, November 20th
Scorpios Anonymous comprises a broad community of men and women. The diversity of membership varies by geographic location. Except in the case of danger to others, the organization reserves the right of confidentiality for each and every member. The NYC chapter is the founding
chapter of the only national organization that supports all who self-identify as Scorpio, as they collectively attempt to control what life under
this sun sign entails, tackling concerns
of trust, emotional profusion,
misunderstanding and stigma. Every group works together to improve each other's
quality of life.
